We host six informal meetings a year, here, people of the pig industry can get together, eat some food and have a great opportunity to learn and share their knowledge of pig production. If you would like to come along, please see our Programme page for details on the latest meetings.
Each meeting sees well respected members of the industry present their fields, this can cover all aspects of pig production from ‘virtual’ on farm tours, pig specialist veterinarians to processors discussing the pig market (usually without a crystal ball unfortunately!).
The key part to these meetings is the discussion, or, occasionally termed ‘strong debate’ it allows for a great deal of knowledge-transfer our industries favourite buzz-word. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and these meetings often provide plenty of that too!
Our group also recognises the need for continued professional development, as such our meetings are all PIPR registered. You’ll find the register at the event. As this is now a requirement for Red Tractor assurance this is a great way to earn some points and get fed! If you’re not currently a PIPR member the form can be downloaded from here.
Finally, we, the committee, would like to say a huge thank you to all our supporters. Without the continued support of these businesses we would not be able to continue running. Contact details for all of our sponsors can be found on our Sponsorship page.
